Lucy Update

Pictures dont really translate this well. but if you look really closely, and maybe the angle is off----you can see
that her right eye ( our left ) is a little lower.
For all you that are wondering, im sorry that it has taken so long.
But its basically a "wait and see" approach with her eye.
if her eye ball does not go back to the place where it is suppose to, then we
will explore surgery with a plastic surgeon.

in my opinion, as her neurotic mother, i think its not exactly the way it was----but, then
again, its only been two weeks, and they said it can take up to six weeks before
these kind of hematomas resolve themselves.
so, who knows.
thank you so much for your thoughts, and prayers and fasting.
i think the lords hand has been involved in her healing.
she seems perfectly normal----and the opthamologist
examined her eyes when ruby had surgery. she said that Lucilles
eye function and ability was perfectly normal. We just have to keep waiting ,
and praying that her eyeball will go back up the way that it was , and that the
swelling will go down .
thank you
much love.

I am soooo glad she's doing better. Thanks for the comment on our blog. I really was thinking about you guys a lot and thinking you've been asked to handle a lot when it comes to your children adn their health. Poor Ruby....How did her surgery go???? Such a sweet, innocent question she asked. AWWW. You guys are so strong. I didn't realize you were still battling Ruby's health issues.

YAY Lucille... and Ruby too! You poor little mommy having to deal with so much all at once. You are strong though and Heavenly Father knows that. You will be in our prayers!

She's beautiful and such a little trooper. Afu has been asking me everyday for updates, we've been thinking of little Lucille. We're so glad she's ok.

What a precious little girl! And those cheeks! I love baby cheeks! She looks so beautiful, especially with that gorgeous smile, even after being through such a scary thing in her short life. Ay to go Lucille!

Thanks for the update I've been almost afraid to ask. I think she looks perfect. Her eyes actually remind me of Jasons. Tell JayBanay I'm ready to collaborate on a screen play using old family stories. As for the plastic surgery I bet you won't get your husband to excited about it. Whats the saying you can never have to much???

Sorry it's me again but I just wanted to tell you about our Young Woman's President. She is a child cancer survivor. She has 4 healthy kids and is just a miracle person. We love her to death. Her stories have all been such an inspiration to my girls. It is amazing how good things can come from such tragedies. So happy Ruby continues to blossom.

Hematomas sometimes take forever to go away, so just be patient. Hazel has had this huge one on her head since birth (i know not exactly the same thing, but maybe they work the same way), and it didnt look like it was going away at all for about three weeks, and then all of a sudden it went down a ton in just a weeks time, and now I can hardly even notice it. I think once they start to go away they go away fast, it just takes a while to get there. i can see how you are feeling though - just waiting and waiting for your baby to look normal and not noticing much of a difference from day to day. It is frustrating, but I bet soon you will look at her and her eye will look totally normal again. I'm glad to hear that her eye function appears normal, I was so worried about that!

It sounds like you guys are doing everything right! She's still in all our prayers. It's also very good that the doctor is very hopeful. Like Sam said, it is a slow process though. I'm sure she'll be fine.

What a sweetheart, she looks like shes over it and as happy as can be. Jill you seem like such an amazing mom, so tentative and full of love for your babes. I hope Lucilles eye resolves itself without any problem. Ill keep you in my prayers.

She looks absolutely perfect to me! I just want to munch on those cute cheeks. Nobody would blame you for worrying about it, but I think if this is just 2 weeks after it happened, her eye will be completely healed. She is such a

I believe that when it comes to children the lord will only give you what you can handle and he knows that you are a very strong person. I am so glad that Lucille and Ruby are doing better.
